Alt-Text

Bank Gaborone participated in the Ghanzi Agric Show held on the 24th – 26th June, 2010 and our main objectives was to introduce the bank to the Ghanzi community and to show case our products and services as well as to get feedback from the Ghanzi community in relation to their banking needs. The traffic at the Bank Gaborone stall was overwhelming and it was very evident that the Ghanzi community has waited far too long for quality banking services, something Bank Gaborone will offer to the Ghanzi people guided by our vision, core values of Teamwork, Excellence, Learning, Passion and Integrity and our desire to provide great service and to establish long term relationships with our stakeholders.

The Ghanzi Agric Show indeed gave the bank an opportunity to display its products and services including Cheque Accounts, Selekt Accounts (Gold and Silver), Home Loans, Vehicles and Assets Finance, Internet Banking and Savings Accounts. Although people loved the prospect that Bank Gaborone will be opening in Ghanzi and the products and services that will come along with the bank, it’s also worth highlighting that our Ipeele Savings Account stood out as a unique product in the banking industry in Botswana for every Motswana across the social and economic class. Ipeele cleverly combines competitive interest rates with a funeral cover and we hope it will encourage Batswana to save more. Bank Gaborone intends to play a meaningful role in the development of our economy and the upliftment of the communities in which we operate. We look forward to servicing the Ghanzi community and surrounding areas with Great Service.

In her remarks Mapaseka Mogorosi, Molepolole Officer in Charge assured the people of the Kweneng Region that she had an excellent team who are committed to providing them with a rewarding banking experience. “We recognize that the financial needs of our clients here may be slightly different from the needs of our clients in other areas where we already have branches; as such we will endeavor to understand the needs of clients in Kweneng and provide them with relevant products and services.  I would like to encourage our clients to let us know if they feel that we are deviating from this mandate so that we may put corrective measures in place.” said Mapaseka Mogorosi, Molepolole Officer in Charge.

The official session was followed by a live broadcast on Gabz F.M where the Marketing Manager, Sandra Mokobi and Officer in Charge, Mapaseka Mogorosi responded to questions posed by the radio presenter.  Some lucky shoppers won themselves Bank Gaborone merchandize as they answered questions.
