Introduction

We are privileged to introduce Bank Gaborone Limited to you. Bank Gaborone is a wholly owned subsidiary of Capricorn Investment Holdings (Botswana) (Pty) Ltd, in which CIH holds a 95.5%interest and is the first green field operation in the history of the diversified CIH group of companies. Bank Gaborone is a relatively new bank in the Botswana market. On the 1st of February 2006, Bank of Botswana issued a license to Bank Gaborone Limited to commence with its full retail banking business and we opened the first branch in Pilane Road during September 2006..

We now have four branches, one in the Main Mall, Game City Mall, Molepolole at Mafenyatlala Mall, Francistown at Galo Mall and will be soon opening a branch in Ghanzi by July 2010. We will steadily expand our network to other towns. We have about 6 ATMs around the country an we are working on increasing our ATMs to more places to provide access to our services where we do not have branches.

We intend to play a meaningful role in the development of our economy and the upliftment of the communities in which we operate.

Bank Gaborone will continue to listen attentively to our customers and provide products and services that are relevant them. In addition to adding value to our existing products and services, we have introduced Internet Banking called e-pula and we are striving to introduce other technologically driven product such as Cell phone Banking to increase our accessibility and for the convenience of our customers.
